Hershines are highly-esteemed, top-quality, classic motor-yachts - built under US supervision and laid-up by hand with ½-inch, solid GRP, to US Coastguard scantlings & specifications. They are exceptionally sea-kindly and also afford easy handling/manoeuvring. Excellent for blue-water passage-making. Extremely comfortable live-aboards, due to the well-designed accommodation lay-out. This “Sunbridge” (by a Grand Banks associated designer) is so easily-handled she can be navigated by 2 ‘crew’, or even single-handedly. She was originally custom-designed with chartering in mind, although never used for that purpose – hence the extras over the normal specifications. She is not only exceptionally economical to run, but also has a powerful, though gentle, low-revving engine-torque. This vessel has been a couple’s home for the past 6 years and is most reluctantly for sale, as they have had to move ashore - the asking price is professionally-advised as EXTREMELY LOW and a BARGAIN! The aft deck is a true haven in which to enjoy panoramic, sheltered relaxation. The decks are wide and well-guarded, leading forward to the electric anchor and windlass. CHECK HER FUEL ECONOMY WITH THE OWNER (given the right conditions, consumption is surprisingly far below manufacturer's estimates). N.B. The 3260 V8 model is not to be confused with other Caterpillar models, some of which have been subject to critical review. The engines included here have been giving excellent service. She is located on the border between the Algarve and SW Spain, offering different cultures, cuisines and beautiful places to visit. The most-convenient (and low-cost) airport is Faro, approx 45minutes away by road, while Seville is around 2hrs30mins distant. Apart from quality car-hirers, there are also air-conditioned bus services and a scenic railway from the West Algarve to the eastern (re-opened) river-bridge border. Her non-metric dimensions are approx 45ft+ length; 13ft beam and 4ft draught – allowing her to enter shallow bays and anchorages, for which she is well-founded. There are myriad, free anchorages and low-cost berth options along the Algarve coast and up the navigable Guadiana river, some 35NM. Some anchorages on the SW Spanish coast, plus plentiful marinas. Chandler, good car -parking, close to shops, cafes, supermarkets, banks etc. Emergency room at Ayamonte marina. Safe haven out of main stream of the river with easy access. British flag, tax-paid. MARINA PAID TO JULY 2021. Bill of Sale for easy (EU+) re-registration. Viewing and/or sea-trial – by arrangement. Returned to market after owners let down by time-wasters. Professionally valued. Photos available on request. Owner available for assistance with familiarization advice, and help, if arranged. If there's any detail not shown, just ask! The vessel was hauled out for her annual maintenance at the end of July, 2019, when she was surveyed for insurance purposes. Reasonable - and fair to both parties - offer considered. (Pounds sterling/US dollars accepted.)
